Glue Painting

Glue PaintingHere is a 4th graders finished work from my Black Glue Painting class. Students “drew” on acetate with black glue (50/50 white glue and acrylic), let it dry and then filled it in with more glue paint. I believe the added glue keeps the paint from flaking, it’s a combo I found online and seemed to work great. The big plus with this process is that the bottom side becomes the finished art as it is guaranteed to have nice clean lines and a shiny acetate surface. So the art may look like a smudgy mess on the working side, but then crisp and shiny on the other. A nice surprise!
